over the last 15 years our wines are
consistently winning national awards

from humble beginnings during the early 1990's pat o'brien and rhonda foster have been creating award winning fruit wines.

using exotic fruits such as mango, sapote, red grape, passion fruit, lychee, wild lime, cumquat and grapefruit they have been able to create their own selection of quality table wines designed to enhance your meal and to make it simply perfect.

the quality of pacific blue wine has been recognized both on a local and a national level. this impressive list of awards can be enjoyed as equally as their wines commencing in 2002 with the “champion wines' and ‘champion wine maker's' awards for their rosella wine, red grape, passion fruit dry, lychee, lychee liqueur.

2003 saw pat and rhonda take out 2 gold medals at the prestigious ‘ adelaide national amateur wine show' for their lychee and honey mead wines. in 2004 they were able to add a 7 medal tally at the cairns wine show with their midnight magic, wild lime, plum crazy, cumquat, tango rush, sweet lychee and dry lychee. in 2005 they were invited to enter the ‘tasmanian fruit wine show' and were able to scoop the awards with 4 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals. then to win the ultimate ‘best wine of the show' award for their own midnight magic, a sapote or chocolate pudding fruit wine, along with the ‘most successful professional winemaker' award firmly cements pacific blue wine as one of australia's most awarded winemakers.

'the fruit wines and fruit liqueurs created by pacific blue wine,' says dr. david thomas, the chief judge of the tasmanian show, ‘demonstrate superb fruit characteristics whilst maintaining delicacy with their strong emphasis on highly flavoured and brightly coloured fruit.

‘furthermore,' continues dr. thomas, ‘pacific blue has demonstrated a high level of wine making skills in order to achieve these outstanding results.'

mr. bob hardy, president of the fruit wine makers (tas) inc. commented ‘pacific blue wine, with their high level of awards, demonstrate a bright future for the fruit wine industry, an industry which attracts considerable attention from both the locals and australia's international visitors.

‘pacific blue wine,' continues mr. hardy, ‘is especially suited to those seeking new taste sensations.'

pacific blue wine varieties can be enjoyed now or can be cellared to add extra enjoyment with family and friends for many years to come.
